Two Nepali Blogs leading the pack

Two bloggers who are actively concerned with the health of Nepal and Nepalese.

Et-cetra
Anuja Khadka's major is in sociology and mass-communication. Her passion is painted all over her web page. It seems that she has very intelligently collected every research paper, term paper and journal writing or creative work that she has done through her school years and she has been adding it to her webpage.
The result is brilliant. Her hard work and diligence is manifest through the different pieces that she's written.
Anuja's writing is too vast to explore all in one sitting. Nevertheless, she has created a very healthy portfolio for herself by compiling it all on her webpage over the years. What a fabulous idea.
Her piece on Excursion to World Heritage Changu-Narayan Temple is quite revealing. Her book review of Parijat is also well done.

WhyNepal
"Why Nepal?" you ask. "Well, why not?" Ujwal Thapa would probably reply. Ujwal Thapa paints himself as a bad ass Nepali aggressively promoting a healthy Nepali culture. In fact, if I were to coin a phrase for what Ujwal is doing, it is this: Aggressively progressing the impressive and obsessive act of creative expression...to remove the excessive depressive and regressive mindset that has been successively pulling down the youth of Nepal. You like that?
His piece on revitalizing Kathmandu Valley into the most beautiful city is worth at least a cursory glance.

Going through his blog I discovered that Ujwal graduated from college in the United States but decided to hit the ground running in Nepal. He has been active in quite a few initiatives as is obvious in his About me page.
The single most impressive document on WhyNepal blog is one titled: Call for Nepali Common Sense Movement. In this document, Ujwal charts a strategy for restoring the health of Nepal and Nepalese.

My favorite phrase in WhyNepal blog that I read so far happens to be it's founding principle. I think I'm going to print it out and frame it and hang it in my kitchen. Better yet, I think I'm going to print it out, frame it and give a copy of it to every Nepali I meet, so that they can hang it in their kitchen as well:

Leaders of Nepal will work to make their own jobs obsolete. The more you self-sustain, the more they will disappear from your sight. This vision is going to be one of the founding principles of WhyNepal's ideologies.
